Governor Dayton Updates Proposed Groundwater Protection Rule

The revisions to the proposed Groundwater Protection rule include voluntary and mandatory nitrate reduction practices in areas with high nitrate concentrations in public water supplies.

The update comes after numerous public meetings and a comment period on the initial draft that was informally published by the Department of Agriculture in summer 2017.
